Scope and purpose

In order to conduct business and provide our services, handling of some personal data is a necessity. In particular, such information is required in order to:

  • Provide access to services as put forth in this Policy and applicable End User License Agreements
  • Maintain and improve services
  • Develop new features, services, and product offerings
  • Communicate with you, either directly or via a third party service provider
  • Process your orders and transactions, either directly or via a third party service provider
  • Prevent illegitimate or harmful use of services
  • Comply with legal and fiscal obligations

We always strive to minimize the amount of data collected. What we might collect varies based on how you interact with us, but can be summarized as follows:

  1. Your full name, email, title, address, and similar "general" information
    • In order to establish a contract with you or, with your consent, communicate with you
  2. Your IP address (and derived approximate geographic location) and computer UID
    • In order to adequately provide requested services
  3. Software usage statistics and log files
    • With your consent and as per applicable software EULAs
  4. Transaction information
    • Due to fiscal obligations and in order to provide you with your transaction history; does not include credit card information
  5. Third-party identifiers and records
    • In order to interact with the corresponding third-party service, see listing below

Legal basis

Generally, we only collect and process personal information:

  • When required in order to enter into a contract with you
  • When you provide your explicit consent
  • When it will serve our legitimate interests without infringing on your rights
  • When we are required to do so in order to comply with public obligations

If personal information is to be collected on any other legal grounds, such cases will be clarified at the time of collection.

Website usage (cookies)

When browsing this website, whether signed in or not, we employ cookies via a third-party service to collect usage information in order to evaluate performance and improve the user experience. However, this information is not linked to any personal identifier.

Information sharing

Ubilogix does not share, sell, rent, or lease your personal information to others. We will also not transfer your personal information to third parties without your explicit consent, except in order to:

  • Communicate with you
  • Process your purchases
  • Generate (anonymized) usage statistics
  • Comply with applicable laws

Third parties we utilize for the aforementioned purposes and may thus partially share your information with include:

  • Braintree for processing payments; as such this service is provided with sufficient information in order to charge your selected payment method.
  • Mailgun in order to communicate via email; as such this service is provided with your name and email address, and potentially other information included in message bodies.
  • Zendesk for support tickets, product feedback, and similar customer care engagements.
  • Google Analytics for quantifying website interaction and monitoring engagement performance, collecting anonymous usage information in the process.

Please note that, while we always strive to minimize the amount of information shared with third party service providers, any additional information that you choose to provide these services independently is subject to their respective terms, policies, and practices.

Data retention

We maintain collected records for the duration of any legitimate business need, such as a subscription to our services or minimum retention periods for fiscal obligations. As such legitimate need expires, we will either anonymize or fully erase the affected records within 24 months.

Security and incident management

We will, to the best of our abilities and leveraging commercially available technology, take appropriate measures to secure the storage and transfer of sensitive data. We safeguard collected information through a variety of security measures designed to prevent unauthorized access. In the event of a security breach, we are committed to thoroughly analyzing the incident and notifying any affected user as soon as possible without introducing additional risk.

Children's Online Privacy Protection Act compliance

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act). This website is not intended for persons under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from or about children, and we do not knowingly market our products or services to children.

Your rights

You have the following rights with regard to your personal information:

  1. You may request an excerpt of your records
  2. You may request that we update or correct your records
  3. You may object to our processing of your records
  4. You may request portability of your records
  5. You may request the deletion of your records...
    • If the information is no longer required for the purpose it was collected for
    • If the processing is founded on rescinded consent
    • If the information has been handled illegaly
    • If deletion is required in order to fulfill a legal obligation
    • If the information concerns a minor that has been registered in disregard of our policies
  6. You may opt out from consensual options, such as newsletters or certain statistics collection
  7. You may complain to a data protection authority about our collection and/or use of your records

Changes to this policy

We reserve the right to modify or supplement this privacy policy at any time. Please check this privacy policy periodically to inform yourself of any changes.

Ubilogix offers 7-day evaluation versions of its software for customers to have adequate opportunity to assess the value of products prior to purchase.

We do not offer refunds on software where the activation code has already been sent to the customer. Unlike physical goods, electronically distributed software and software licenses can be duplicated. Once a license has been issued, it is unfortunately not possible for us to recall all copies. Therefore, Ubilogix does not accept product returns or exchanges.

Last updated:

On cancelling a software subscription you will maintain access to the software and its related services for the remainder of your billing period. No refund is provided subject to service cancellation.

Reactivation

You may choose to reactivate a cancelled subscription at any point in time, whether its previous billing period has expired or not. In the event that the billing period has already expired, no back-charges are applied upon reactivation.
